My Adventures in Pole Dancing
I once auditioned for a role where the character was a pole dancer. The audition required some dancing, and I have basically blocked that part out of my memory. Then, my agent commented that she recommends women take pole dancing classes because it's a good skill. So I signed up.
In my first class, I was terrified. And awkward. But it became clear every woman in my class was in the same boat.
As my class levels progressed, it became my new love. I felt myself become stronger and more confident. It's incredible being with such a supportive group of women, who all cheer each other on, and watch each other grow. COVID-19 set my training back, but I have returned to classes once more!
